I am Dr. Karin Hammerich and I welcome you to the Hammerich Chiropractic Clinic.

I’ve been an active practitioner of chiropractic for over four decades, more than half of which were spent working in France. While there I was an active member of the French National Chiropractic Association finishing my tenure as the Vice President. Having both European and Canadian experience, I bring to my practice the ability to work in English, French, and German.

Alongside my practice, I am currently the Chair of Chiropractic Principles and Practice at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and faculty member of the Clinical Education department, as well as resource clinician. I hold a Master in Health Studies (MHS) degree in research, education, and policy.

Professionally, my career has been highlighted with the distinction of being the first woman delegate to the World Federation of Chiropractic and to the International Chiropractic Sports Medicine Federation. I was also peer-selected as an educationally-influential chiropractor to the Institute of Work & Health. Most recently (2016), I was nominated to serve on the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative (CCGI) as a Best Practices Collaborator for evidence-informed practice for the profession.

Over the years I’ve also been active as a Career Mentor with the Toronto French School Board and Branksome Hall, a renowned International Baccalaureate School.

As for me, I am a mom of two university grads who have become small business entrepreneurs and am very active in my community through my church. I also enjoy writing and have published numerous papers in France and Canada. Though I have received many awards over the years, locally I am proud of being “Best of the Best for Chiropractic Service in Bloor West Village” for over 10 years running. I’d like to thank my patients for their trust in me and for their wonderful support of the Hammerich Chiropractic Clinic.
